SWAN at LogiMAT 2024 in Stuttgart

Augsburg, February 26, 2024 – SWAN GmbH once again presents innovative solutions for the challenges of modern logistics at LogiMAT 2024. As part of the SSI SCHÄFER “Let’s Talk” expert rounds, Kai Starke, Director of SAP Realization and Procurator at SWAN GmbH, and Florian Kuchta, Vice President & Head of Product Management SAP Logistics, Private Cloud at SAP SE, discuss the opportunities that the cloud offers for highly dynamic warehouses.

“We observe that SAP’s cloud strategy has raised questions about the functionality and future security of the solution used among our clients,” says Kai Starke. “At the same time, the cloud is already a reality, and the fixed server in the warehouse has become obsolete almost everywhere.”

In the context of these observations, the panel “High Performance in the Warehouse with SAP EWM in the Cloud” by the two SAP experts begins. Using customer examples, they show when and how SAP EWM can be operated in the cloud, even when automatic processes need to be connected. In the discussion, Starke and Kuchta, Vice President & Head of Product Management SAP Logistics, Private Cloud at SAP SE, address, among other things, the following points:

• What are the reasons for operating warehouse management software in SAP’s cloud?
• What should be considered when transforming on-premise solutions to the cloud?
• How does material flow control work from the cloud?

Logistics journalist Anja Seemann moderates the discussion. Attendance at the panel and the subsequent question session is free and does not require registration for trade fair visitors.

In addition, SWAN GmbH and SAP SE will have stands on all days of the fair. At its stand, SWAN presents its consulting and service approach for SAP logistics throughout the entire customer lifecycle. Interested parties can obtain information from experts about the transformation to SAP EWM S/4HANA and the switch from SAP LE-TRA to SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM).
