  • SWAN eSL – Direct Coupling for SAP

Connect your machine control as well as non-SAP systems directly to your SAP Logistics systems. The SWAN eSL (SWAN embedded System Link) requires no additional middleware or additional SAP interfaces to seamlessly link different systems together.

This simplified connection of automated warehouse technology such as stacker cranes, conveyor technology, and paternosters allows you to also control the material flow directly from small standalone logistics systems and integrate picking systems such as Pick-by-Light or laser pointers.

  • Connect your machine control as well as non-SAP systems directly to your SAP Logistics systems

  • Best Performance for Logistics and Production

The direct coupling platform SWAN eSL is optimally tailored to the requirements of logistics and production. In addition to pure TCP/IP and RFC connections, the software platform also offers seamless integration of e.g. IDOCs, XML and database interfaces, web services, RFC1006 connections, MQTT protocols as well as customized interfaces to third-party systems.

The SWAN eSL goes beyond mere connection and communication between SAP and PLC. Additional functions for machine control or data processing allow targeted control of your plant directly from your SAP system. Machine data is processed directly in SAP, enabling a high degree of automation, reducing error rates, and providing quick access to valuable information for continuously optimizing processes.

  • Modernization and Retrofits

With SWAN eSL, we support your modernization and retrofit projects optimally: The software platform allows the separation of different PLC areas, so that replacement of legacy systems can be done step by step. This means you only need to replace your legacy systems when they can no longer keep up with your company’s needs.

Direct Utilization of Machine Data
SWAN eSL integrates your machine data directly into your SAP system, allowing transmission and processing of:

  • Order data
  • Setup requirements
  • Bill of materials
  • Consumption reporting
  • Replenishment requests
  • Operation confirmations
  • Operational and service messages
Additional features of SWAN eSL in the production environment:

  • Querying status messages, technical machine data, machine states, and counters by SAP
  • Tracking & tracing of downstream machines directly in SAP
  • Analyzing captured operational data and compact visualization
  • Querying batches and serial numbers directly from the production cell in SAP
  • Integration of complete production islands
