Project House for SAP Logistics Exhibits Innovative Solutions for Digital SAP Warehouse Processes at World’s Largest Logistics Trade Fair
Augsburg, March 16, 2022. SWAN GmbH is pleased to welcome customers and interested parties again this year at LogiMAT in Stuttgart. The SAP specialists convince with expert knowledge and offer solutions for the optimization of logistics processes based on SAP EWM and SAP TM. The focus of their trade fair presentation is the in-house and continuously expanded SAP EWM add-on “SWAN 3D Logistics Cockpit”. It offers users a realistic real-time display and intuitive control of inventory and movement data in SAP EWM via a browser-based 3D interface based on SAPUI5. SWAN will be exhibiting these and other SAP logistics applications at LogiMAT 2022 (Hall 8, Stand D47).
Intuitive real-time analysis: SWAN 3D-Logistics Cockpit
The 3D-Logistics Cockpit has become a key product of SWAN. It uses the existing data from SAP EWM to create a virtual 3D warehouse image as a “digital twin”. Users receive a realistic representation of inventories and warehouse structures, which facilitates work in the control center and greatly minimizes complex, error-prone warehouse processes. Warehouse tasks can be created by drag-and-drop, correlations are easily recognizable thanks to the connection of structural warehouse structures, racks as well as current inventory and storage location data in a three-dimensionally displayed space and thus help to quickly detect deviations in the process. The SWAN 3D Logistics Cockpit can be integrated as a Fiori application into any SAP EWM system and can be easily retrofitted into existing installations. Users can optionally integrate tracking and movement systems from any vendor or real-time location systems (RTLS) to transmit forklift movements to SAP in real time. This way, they always know exactly where the pallets are in the warehouse and automatically recognize the goods when they are picked up by a vehicle. This almost completely eliminates scanning and identification processes in the warehouse.
Digitization of warehouse processes
In addition, SWAN will present other core products in its portfolio at LogiMAT, such as new logic and interface add-ons for material handling systems and automated warehouse technology. Digitized intralogistics brings with it many advantages. The clear review and verification of all data and processes to be digitized results in comprehensive transparency and the introduction of standardized processes. Established standards reduce sources of error, minimize throughput times, accelerate processes and shorten training times for new employees. This allows companies to reduce their expenses and increase competitiveness.
