Highly flexible automated and manual SAP and control system solutions for future-proof intralogistics are the focus of SWAN GmbH’s trade fair appearance at this year’s LogiMAT from March 13 – 15, 2018 in Stuttgart. At booth A65 in hall 8, the SAP automation specialists will present smart add-ons for material flow, localization, SAPUI5 picking, tugger train control and an integrated SAP EWM 3D control station including visualization.
The supplier, which is based in Stadtbergen and has further branches in Nuremberg, Wächtersbach and Altenstadt an der Waldnaab, focuses in particular on ergonomically oriented, innovative operating concepts that facilitate work on the store floor.
Forklift management: tracking to the centimeter
The new SAP 3D forklift location and guidance system, for example, ensures the best possible forklift utilization and increased operational safety. In the control center view, this solution enables a 3D view of all industrial trucks in use. All position data and material movements are recorded via a camera and can be transmitted directly to SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management). Navigation and guidance are provided via an intuitive touch interface. The advantage of this application is that scanning processes and superfluous work steps are eliminated, interfaces are minimized, and existing resources can be used in a targeted manner. This RTLS 3D model will be on display as a live demo at the Bosch booth: B61, hall 8.
Smart picking dialogs for increased productivity
Also on show will be an SAP 3D picking application that helps to manage picking and packing processes faster and more reliably with optical support. The prerequisite for this is the combination of intelligent scanner glove from partner ProGlove and state-of-the-art SAPUI5 technology. Using the SAPUI5 framework, it is possible to quickly adapt the interfaces to individual requirements. In addition, the integration of graphical elements, such as interactive 3D displays, ensures an optimized design and visualization of the workflows, also from an ergonomic point of view.
Custom-fit digitization solutions for production and logistics
Another highlight is a fully comprehensive route train solution specially designed for SAP EWM, which maps the complex strategies of networked supply and disposal of production in a standardized way. In doing so, SWAN combines the requirements of manufacturing from SAP ERP with the IT-controlled route train application in SAP EWM, thus providing a tool with which companies can meet the growing demands in the production environment.
In addition to these innovations, SWAN will present proven approaches for the development and implementation of customized intralogistics solutions and their direct integration into SAP EWM as well as the material flow component SAP MFS (Material Flow System). The Klinkhammer Group also draws on this expertise. How, for example, the KlinCAT shuttle system can be integrated in the best possible way into existing SAP landscapes by linking SAP EWM to the controls programmed by Klinkhammer, and what special advantages Fiori apps also offer in the process, will be shown at the partner’s booth C46 in Hall 1.
