Augsburg, April 27, 2023 – SWAN GmbH achieves the double again. For the second time in a row, the specialist for intralogistics software is one of the top employers in the ICT industry, both nationally and in Bavaria. In the “Bavaria’s Best Employers” category of the Great Place to Work® competition, SWAN once again took an outstanding 20th place among employers with 50 to 250 employees. The international research and consulting institute Great Place to Work® recognizes excellent employers every year. Within Germany, the project house for SAP logistics is one of the 29 best ICT employers.

What makes a good workplace? For the Great Place to Work® Institute, credibility, respect, fairness, pride and team spirit are the pillars of an outstanding workplace culture. These values are the focus of the representative and anonymous employee surveys conducted by the independent research and consulting institute of the same name.

Employee feedback is the be-all and end-all

Since its foundation 12 years ago, SWAN has relied on employee feedback as an important instrument for understanding the needs and desires of the team and for initiating, guiding and evaluating necessary changes within the company. A strategy with success – as confirmed by the results of the latest surveys in the Great Place to Work® competition. SWAN was ranked 29th among the best employers in Germany in the ICT sector and 20th among the best employers in Bavaria with 50 to 250 employees. Two years ago, the company already earned placements in both categories. “Then, as now, we felt very honored by the two awards. We have not rested on our laurels in recent years. On the contrary, the positive feedback motivated us to further optimize SWAN,” says Yvonne Oehme, authorized officer, member of the management team and Director Business Administration at SWAN GmbH.

Insights from the Great Place to Work® survey

With a participation rate of 77 percent, an above-average number of employees once again participated in this year’s survey. Especially encouraging: Of the participants, 92 percent would recommend SWAN as an employer.

Whether it’s the open ear of managers or a culture of cooperation instead of elbowing each other: at SWAN, values such as fairness and team spirit have a particularly positive impact. Compared to the benchmark, the survey showed about twice as much approval here. “First of all, the individual teams work together very well and collegially. But also at the project interfaces with partners and customers, the cooperation and project work are functioning excellently,” says Stefanie Teichler, Team Leader Project Management Office at SWAN.

She adds, “As a mother of two young children, I have great freedom to combine and balance my family with work.” After all, a high degree of flexibility thanks to individual working hours and models such as part-time, remote or work-ation options are also part of the working culture practiced at SWAN. The balance between job and private life has a high priority and does not stand in the way of individual professional development opportunities. New Work is making it possible.
