SWAN GmbH looks back on 16 months at the Altenstadt site. On April 1, 2017, the office in Haidmühlweg was opened as a response to the continuous growth of SWAN, which was founded as a startup in 2011, and is now the fourth branch office in addition to the headquarters in Stadtbergen and the locations in Nuremberg and Wächtersbach. At the individual locations, the company consistently relies on mixed teams of experienced employees and young talents, who together implement a variety of automated system solutions based on the SAP modules EWM (Extended Warehouse Management), MFS (Material Flow System), WM (Warehouse Management) and TM (Transportation Management).

An extremely pleasing site development
SWAN now has a total of more than 50 employees. Many new employees were also recruited in Altenstadt. While three employees were still working on innovative SAP solutions for SWAN’s customers in 2017, the young team will comprise nine heads by the end of the year. The proclaimed goal of SWAN Managing Director André Nowinski was to continuously build up the site and reach a workforce of 15 employees within three years. He is all the more pleased that growth is proceeding so rapidly: “We are delighted with this momentum,” says André Nowinski. “The site development has exceeded all our expectations and demonstrated that our strategy of entering a highly interesting technology region with excellently trained IT specialists and SAP logisticians with our new site was exactly the right one.”
Always on the lookout for new team players
There is also a lot to do in terms of project management in the offices in Altenstadt. “Due to the large number of tasks and projects, we welcome interested parties to join our team,” says team leader Armin Morawietz, “Anyone who enjoys implementing and solving complex logistical tasks and innovative solutions is welcome to join us. In addition, we need a few more ambitious kickers to keep up in duels against the other sites.” Thus, SWAN GmbH is still looking for qualified professionals in the fields of SAP logistics consulting and development, whose DNA is characterized by creativity, speed, solution-focused work and maybe a little bit of foosball talent.
