SWAN HU Inventory is a smart add-on that provides an alternative way to inventory in your SAP EWM at HU level. The system allows you to count multiple HUs, such as containers or pallets, in one physical bin location, giving you a separate inventory document for each HU initially stored. This accurate mapping up to nested HUs optimizes your inventory process. Thanks to additional functions in the warehouse management monitor, you get a transparent real-time view of your inventory progress.

Automated and legal inventory processes

Detailed inventory at HU level helps you comply with legal requirements when mapping your inventory progress. Thanks to the monitoring functionalities of SWAN HU Inventory, you know exactly whether an inventory for each individual HU has already taken place in the current counting period.

In addition to currently counted and still open inventories, you can also track which HUs have not been moved since their initial placement into storage. In consultation with your certified auditor, recounting these HUs can also be suspended in subsequent count periods, saving time and resources during the inventory phase.

STORAGE INVENTORY

In automated warehouses, your employees do not have direct access to your stock. The SWAN HU Inventory therefore allows you to perform a detailed count of all HUs incl. nested HUs in the multi-depth automatic warehouse. During the initial stock placement process, an inventory document is created, counted, and posted so that you receive a separate document for each individual HU. This HU is then considered counted for this inventory period.

AD HOC INVENTORY

It is not always possible to avoid manual inventory processes in automated warehouses. With SWAN HU Inventory, you can also map these ad hoc inventories at HU level. To do this, select an individual HU for which you want to carry out an inventory at an assigned counting station by an employee. After the count, the HU is placed in storage again and is listed as completed for the current inventory period.
