SWAN GmbH strengthens its management team and grants power of attorney to Andreas Brand, Director of SAP Realization. With the appointment of a third authorized representative, SWAN takes another important step in its corporate development. The SAP logistics expert particularly strengthens its capacity for action and decision-making in Giebelstadt, one of the company’s three major locations. “We are pleased to welcome Andreas Brand, an experienced team player, to our management team. We benefit especially from his experience in handling demanding and complex IT projects, as well as his strong SAP background,” emphasizes Alexander Bernhard.
The Signs Point to Growth
Together with Kai Starke, Andreas Brand holds the position of “Director of SAP Realization”. As a dual leadership team, both are responsible for managing SWAN’s customer realization projects. As a new member of the management team, Andreas Brand’s additional responsibilities include cross-functional coordination, expanding corporate development, and co-shaping the future corporate strategy. He also promotes the strengthening of the SAP EWM business field, the expansion of the SAP TM business area, and future internationalization.
SWAN operates in a stable market and has a full order book. Despite the current crises, the logistics industry is growing, especially in Central Europe. “We offer a broad portfolio of solutions with industry-independent SAP solutions,” reports Andreas Brand. “This way, we grow with booming industries and can use our logistics expertise profitably for our customers. Our goal is also to explore new business areas – there is enormous potential in the area of Transportation Management.”
The topic of recruiting also has a high priority in Andreas Brand’s responsibilities: “It is important for us to keep motivation high and therefore retain our employees in the company. Of course, we also want to attract new employees. Our SWAN Academy is a key building block for this.”
Continuation of the Collaboration
After studying Business Informatics, Andreas Brand began his career at SSI Schäfer, initially as an EWM developer and consultant. Most recently, he worked there as a group leader for EWM. During the merger with SSI Schäfer and the subsequent takeover of the SAP business unit, he joined SWAN after about ten years. “With the appointment of Andreas Brand to the leadership team, we are consistently continuing the integration of SSI Schäfer’s SAP division, including all employees and locations, and consolidating the already excellent cooperation,” says Alexander Bernhard. “Aside from his professional competencies, his close connection to previous SSI Schäfer projects and employees and his strategic foresight make him a valuable member of the leadership team,” adds Alexander Bernhard.
