Focus on customer benefits
With a focus on customer benefits, SAP logistics specialist SWAN and SSI Schäfer, a leading provider of modular warehousing and logistics systems, are combining their expertise in logistics digitization and the close technical integration of automated warehouse technology. SWAN GmbH is fully taking over all employees of the SAP business division of the SSI Schäfer Group and integrating them with all existing branches into the company. The intralogistics specialist SSI Schäfer will become the majority owner of SWAN GmbH, which will continue to operate independently in the market. Within the partnership, SWAN will handle the project execution of SSI Schäfer’s SAP division.
This strategic merger creates a leading provider in the SAP logistics sector with over 120 SAP experts, boasting outstanding automation know-how, not just for SSI Schäfer technology. Through this merger, SWAN positions itself among the top 5 providers for SAP logistics and opens up further internationalization of its business areas. The company gains 55 experienced logistics consultants and combines expertise in SAP consulting & development, material flow control, and project management. The Customer Lifecycle Service team will also double in size. “Our business partners and customers will benefit from the newly strengthened SWAN GmbH. In addition to their familiar contacts, we will offer a broader solutions portfolio and outstanding expertise in SAP logistics,” promises Alexander Bernhard, Managing Director of SWAN GmbH.
The SSI Schäfer Group emphasizes the central role that high-performance software plays in modern intralogistics solutions: By investing in SWAN GmbH, future growth areas in the competitive SAP logistics market are opened, laying the foundation for close technology integration towards integrated and intelligent supply chain solutions. With over 1,100 employees in Software Solutions, the SSI Schäfer Group, with a total of 10,500 employees, is a market partner that understands the requirements of modern intralogistics, transforming them into future-proof solutions for its cross-industry customers.
In addition to the self-developed, standardized logistics software WAMAS®, SSI Schäfer enhances its project expertise in implementing logistics solutions with SAP EWM, aiming to serve its customers holistically. Of course, logistics systems will continue to be fully offered as a general contractor.
“In partnership with SWAN, we strengthen the SAP solutions offering for our customers and elevate our consulting and implementation strength internationally to a new level. We are thus consistently implementing our strategy and enabling our customers, as a technology leader, to better, more efficiently, and sustainably meet the increasing expectations and needs of their customers with solution-oriented intralogistics,” explains Steffen Bersch, CEO of the SSI Schäfer Group, on the strategic engagement.
Founded in 2011, the software specialist SWAN has successfully implemented over 100 projects with renowned companies from various industries in 26 countries.
